THE PROFESSIONALS

With 12 years experience  as a PGA Professional, I have spent the majority of my career at Purley Downs teaching golfers of all abilities from Professionals and Mid Handicap players wishing to improve particular aspects of their game, to beginners taking their first steps toward building a swing and playing regularly.
Having followed a teaching career path, first as assistant to Graham Wilson and then in 2002 earning the title of Head Teaching Professonal, before being appointed Head Professional following Graham's retirement in November 2006, I have come to appreciate just how important developing the complete game is for golfers of all abilities.

Simon Keeling - Assistant Professional

Currently in his final year of the PGA Diploma Course and recently qualified as a Level II PGA Golf Coach Simon is keen to share his knowledge of the game with members and visitors alike.
An enthusiastic coach with a sound knowledge of Custom Fitting, Simon enjoys helping all golfers fulfil their potential and achieve their goals.


COACHING

We are proud that through coaching sessions we have helped the club to create a very successful Junior Section. Simon Keeling also runs a Cadet coaching scheme for the under 10's which has already helped to produce some home-grown new junior members.
A huge benefiit to the Professionals has been the NEW Indoor Teaching Facility enabling all year round lessons (whatever the weather) and during the dark winter evenings. The use of multiple cameras and C-Swing Video Software enhance the quality of lessons available to you. We welcome all visitors for lessons, as well as the Purley Downs members.
